Top Players Compete in GEMS Badminton Cup

Top young badminton players across GEMS Schools came together, as they competed in the 1st GEMS Badminton Cup at the GEMS Nations Academy.

More than 264 players from 16 GEMS schools participated in the tournament that took place over 3 days. 

After some outstanding performances throughout the tournament, it was Our Own English High School who dominated the competition winning ten of the sixteen age categories trophies, taking out the Boys & Girls U13 Singles, Boys & Girls U13 Doubles, Girls U15 Singles, Girls U15 Doubles, Boys' & Girls U17 Singles and Boys' and Girls U17 Doubles.

In the Under 11 category, Our Own Indian School won both singles and doubles titles in the Girls category, while in the Boys’ Under 11, GEMS United Indian School, Abu Dhabi won both singles and doubles titles.

The Under 15 Boys categories saw some fierce competition, with GEMS Millennium School, Sharjah winning both the Singles and Doubles in the GEMS Badminton Cup.
